Named for Benito Quinquela Martin, the painter of Buenos Aires' working port, this is a wine with a sense of place and a little romance. A half-and-half of Malbec and Cabernet gives it both flesh and frame, generous up front and structured on the finish. From the high Famatina Valley, it drinks well above its price.

Intense ruby with burgundy reflections. Coffee, plum jam, ripe fruit, liquorice and cinnamon, with vanilla and a touch of mint. Soft and medium-bodied, with sweet tannins and a long, elegant finish.
