This leans into the playful, peppery side of the grape rather than the jammy one, a warm-climate red with more lift than muscle. We pour it at cookouts and crowded kitchens, where its easy body makes it a crowd wrangler rather than a contemplation wine. It takes a slight chill nicely on a warm evening.
tasting notes
Pale garnet. A spicy nose of bay leaf, rose petal, white pepper and anise over raspberry bramble, with ripe stone fruit, red currant and vanilla. Balanced, with light, grainy tannins, good length and a full body.
