Intense red with a complex nose of dark fruit and spice, pink peppercorn, sweet herbal notes and a touch of roasted pepper, with coconut and mocha from oak. Smooth, with round, juicy tannins, mineral notes and an elegant structure into a lingering finish.

Familia Schroeder farms the cool Patagonian desert of Neuquen, one of the southernmost serious wine regions on earth. During construction of the winery they unearthed a dinosaur fossil, which gave the Saurus wines their name. The cold, windswept climate lends their reds a freshness rare in Argentina.
