From the cool reaches of Patagonia, this is Malbec with the volume turned down and the freshness turned up. Part of it sees oak and part stays in steel, so you get a little spice without losing the bright fruit. Balanced, food-friendly, and easy to reach for.
tasting notes
Intense purple with ruby hints. A complex nose of ripe red fruit, sour cherry, plum and currant with spicy notes, and vanilla and mocha from oak. Aged 12 months in new French and American oak, with the rest kept in stainless steel to preserve the fruit.

Familia Schroeder farms the cool Patagonian desert of Neuquen, one of the southernmost serious wine regions on earth. During construction of the winery they unearthed a dinosaur fossil, which gave the Saurus wines their name. The cold, windswept climate lends their reds a freshness rare in Argentina.
